We're Scotland's national awarding and accreditation body. We develop qualifications and assessment services that are recognised and respected by universities and employers around the world.
What we do
We give people credible recognition of their skills and knowledge through qualifications - helping them make choices and progress in life and work.
We work with learners, schools, colleges, universities and training providers across Scotland, the UK and internationally. Together, we develop and maintain qualifications, and set standards for other awarding bodies.
How we can help
Qualifications and assessment — We develop and deliver a wide range of qualifications, including National Qualifications and Higher National Certificates and Diplomas. These are widely accepted by universities and colleges as part of their entry requirements.
Quality assurance — We make sure assessments are consistent and high quality, so higher education institutions can be confident that learners are ready for further study.
Curriculum alignment — We work with educators to align curriculum content and learning outcomes, helping learners build the skills they need and making their transition to higher education smoother.
International recognition — Our qualifications are recognised in Scotland and internationally, making it easier for learners to transfer credits or study abroad.
Supporting international partnerships
We're working with Scottish higher education institutions to support their international ambitions. Through our delivery centres worldwide, we provide qualifications and progression pathways that help learners take the next step to study in Scotland.
